OverviewA contemporary 2 bedroom apartment in Fannie Bay, in a brilliant location directly opposite the shops and park, and a 2 minute walk to the famous Fannie Bay foreshore and beaches. Spectacular sunsets all year round!Light and airy with high ceilings, Fannie Bay Beachside is nestled amongst the treetops (and birdsong) on the the top floor, and is an ideal holiday stay for families and couples. From here, you can walk to everywhere - shops, cafes, restaurants, and Darwin's best butcher and bakery straight across the road,5 minutes walk to the Darwin Turf Club and Darwin Cup Carnival (yes, within staggering distance), 5 minutes walk to the Darwin Sailing Club and Trailer Boat Club (where you can enjoy a sumptuous meal surrounded by towering palm trees, an ice cold beer or bottle of New Zealand Sav Blanc, the evening chatter of birds, and a constantly changing horizon), just a little further to the Ski Club (recently voted best beer garden in Australia) and the Museum (be sure to check out the Indigenous art and Cyclone Tracy displays). On Saturday morning take a 20 minute walk to Parap markets, or Mindil Markets on Thursday evenings in the dry season. Also within walking distance are the old Fannie Bay Goal (where the last person to be hanged in Australia was hanged.....ew), Ross Smith Avenue (Darwin's first airstrip), and the original QANTAS hangar. You can also walk to the Olympic sized Parap Swimming Pool.... but you won't need to, because there's a pool in the complex.
